Epidemiology
15% of leukaemias
40-60y
M>F, slightly
Clinical Features
Asymptomatic, or
Massive hepatosplenomegaly
Investigations
Bloods: FBC (++ neutrophils), Peripheral blood (bcr-abl mutation)
NOTE: Neutrophils normally marginated in hospital, thus exercise will dislodge some and ++ neutrophils
Management
Complications
Can become AML (most likely of all MPD)

- Malignant clonal proliferation of myeloid cells
- Philadelphia chromosome present in >80% t(9,22), forming BCR/ ABL gene on Ch 22
